Camps and Summer School

We believe that camp should be both fun and educational, which is why our camps focus on four areas of learning; academic, social, personal and physical. As an active place of learning, our camps build on a child’s whole self concept; as they learn that they have the capability of accomplishing many things.

Our camp environment is one that values the contribution of each child, as well as acknowledges and rewards a broader range of accomplishments, such as personal and social growth. In addition, we create curriculum related learning opportunities throughout the day that are interactive and hands-on, which is why children who find it difficult to learn in other settings will succeed at camp.

The overall camp experience allows children to develop the skills they need to succeed in both their academics and personal lives, such as strength, confidence, independence, ability to work with others, perseverance, resilience, integrity, kindness and appreciation for themselves, others and the world around them.

Summer School is part of the camp experience. When children are registered for camp, part of the day involves summer school. For families who are only interested in the academic component, they may register for Summer Camp only.

FAQ

What do the children do at camp?

We offer fun and educational camps throughout the year. Spots fill up very fast! Camps include academics in the morning (English, Math and Science) and fun camp style games and activities in the afternoon. We go on weekly field trips, visit the retirement home, enjoy Fun Fridays with pizza, weekly award ceremonies, and daily outdoor play.

Do I have to register my child for the whole summer?

No, you may register for any week or weeks you would like during the summer.

Do the fees include the price of field trips?

No, each field trip is optional and paid separately from the total fees. We go on one field trip per week. Some examples of trips done in the past are splash pads, African Lion Safari, and Pirate Life.

If my child misses a day during the week can I get a refund for the day?

Refunds are not given for missed days and are not carried over to other weeks.
